A Prefeitura de Curitiba entregou nesta terça-feira, dia 17 de dezembro, na Praça Rui Barbosa, mais 50 novos ônibus que passam a integrar a frota do transporte coletivo da cidade.
Com os novos veículos, somam 317 ônibus novos desde dezembro de 2017. Os novos ônibus vão atender as regiões do Sítio Cercado, Pinheirinho, Cidade Industrial de Curitiba e Tatuquara.
Principal meio de deslocamento dos curitibanos, o sistema de transporte da capital paranaense conta atualmente com 254 linhas urbanas operadas por três consórcios de empresas privadas que disponibilizam uma frota operante de 1.231 ônibus.
As linhas realizam, em média, 14,1 mil viagens por dia, percorrendo mais de 273 mil quilômetros.
Os 50 veículos entregues hoje são do tipo comum (motor dianteiro, de 12 metros de comprimento, cor laranja) para operação nas linhas convencionais e alimentadoras.
O chassi é Mercedes Benz OF1721L, a motorização é EURO V/PROCONVE P7, e os ônibus tem capacidade para 87 passageiros. Serão 30 ônibus da empresa Viação Sorriso Curitiba e 20 ônibus da empresa Auto Viação Redentor.
Outros equipamentos
Os ônibus contam com quatro câmeras internas, dois espaços para cadeirantes, sistema de monitoramento por câmeras, sinais sonoro e visual de fechamento das portas, plaqueta com o prefixo do ônibus em braille, mensagem de voz na solicitação de parada do cadeirante, 20% de bancos destinados às pessoas com deficiência ou mobilidade reduzida e iluminação interna em LED.
