A Infraero (Empresa Brasileira de Infraestrutura Aeroportuária) publicou, nesta quinta-feira, dia 31 de outubro, o edital de licitação do projeto de ampliação da pista do Aeroporto de Foz do Iguaçu.
A licitação prevê a contratação de serviços técnicos especializados e engenharia para a elaboração do projeto executivo e obras e serviços referentes à ampliação da pista de pouso e decolagem.
Esse é mais um passo importante para consolidar Foz do Iguaçu como um dos principais destinos turísticos do mundo. Hoje, a cidade é segunda no ranking nacional a receber mais turistas estrangeiros.
O objetivo é transformar Foz do Iguaçu na capital brasileira do turismo estrangeiro, a partir de várias obras no aeroporto, com o apoio e investimentos diretos da usina de Itaipu.
Além do aeroporto, Itaipu também está realocando recursos obtidos com a economia em gastos sem aderência à missão da usina em obras estruturantes, como a Ponte da Integração Brasil-Paraguai, modernização do Hospital Ministro Costa Cavalcanti e mercado municipal, entre outras.
Para o diretor-geral brasileiro da Itaipu, general Joaquim Silva e Luna, a ampliação de pista de pouso e decolagem do aeroporto de Foz de Iguaçu vai permitir que a cidade torne-se um hub, atraindo voos internacionais e muito mais visitantes.
“Esses investimentos têm aderência ao papel de Itaipu, que vai muito além de gerar energia limpa e renovável de forma eficiente, mas também promover o desenvolvimento sustentável para toda a região onde está instalada.”
