A partir das 11h desta terça-feira, dia 13 de agosto, a Rua das Sabiás e a Rua Corruíras, no bairro Novo Mundo, passam a ter sentido único de circulação dos veículos. Pedida pelos moradores, a mudança organiza melhor o trânsito e amplia a segurança viária naquele trecho.
A alteração permite que o motorista acesse a Rua das Sabiás a partir do entroncamento com a Rua Adalberto Scherer e siga apenas no sentido da Rua Professor Lício de Lima, que desemboca na Avenida Brasília.
A Rua Corruíras, que é perpendicular à Rua das Sabiás, também terá o fluxo de veículos organizado. O diretor de projetos e implantação da Superintendência de Trânsito, Maurício Razera, explica que a Rua das Corruíras tem formato de U e o trânsito fluirá no sentido anti-horário.
Placas vão auxiliar os motoristas na mudança, além do apoio de agentes da Superintendência de Trânsito, que estarão no local a partir das 8h. As ruas também terão nova pintura (sinalização horizontal) e novas placas de trânsito, indicando proibição de estacionamento, parada obrigatória e sentido único da via.
